Second European-Mexican IT Workshop

November 28th - 29th, 2008. Grenoble, France

The second LAEMI Workshop will be held in Grenoble France, on November 28-29, 2008 (just after the ICT-Europe conference in Lyon). The goals of this second Workshop are:

  • To identify common research themes.
  • To prepare joint research proposals to be submitted to different funding mechanisms.
  • To define appropiate cooperation actions on some well identified topics.
  • To discuss the actions to be undertaken for formalizing the creation of the LAEMI.
About 60 researchers and representatives of industrial companies from Mexico, France, Spain, and Germany will participate in this workshop. Several official representatives of European and National organizations such as INRIA, CNRS, CONACYT, or European Commission, have also been invited. The LAFMIA (Laboratoire Franco-Mexican en Informatique et Automatique), successful result of the French-Mexican scientific cooperation on Information Technologies and Automation, which has recently been launched, is also supporting the LAEMI initiatives.
